Liana felt like she was floating.

She was floating.

Jack was carrying her down the hallway toward her room. She put her hand on his chest and he glanced down at her. He looked serious. Too serious.

Why?

Oh, that's right.

They'd just spent a half an hour kissing each other in the elevator.

He'd touched her all over, through her clothes. He'd groaned in frustration when he'd been unable to pull her top down more than a few inches. But oh, what he'd done with those few inches.

With her nipples exposed, just over the edge of her top, he'd pulled them into his hot, seeking mouth one at a time. She'd never felt anything like it.

Not even close.

By the time he'd pulled away from her, she'd been unsteady on her feet. He'd cursed and hit the emergency button, then yanked her top back up.

And ignored her.

That is, until the elevator stopped on her floor. Then he'd scooped her up into his arms. Liana couldn't think straight. She wanted him to keep kissing her. To keep touching her.

"Where are you taking me?"

"To your room."

"But-"

He shushed her and shook his head, sliding the keycard into the lock. He nodded to the security guard stationed out front and pushed the door open.

Jack carried her to her bedroom across the suite. He dropped her on the bed and threw her one of the robes hanging on the bathroom door.

"Get undressed. It's time for bed."

She tilted her head to look at him. He looked angry. But she didn't care. She just wanted more.

"I will if you kiss me again."

He growled and closed the door to her bedroom, leaning against it.

"Be quiet! Unless you want your mother to come storming in here. Then I'll be fired and you'll be grounded."

He seemed like he was going to say more. Instead he pulled the door open and stalked through the main room of the suite.

She followed him to the front door.

"I'm not a little girl you know!"

He turned to stare at her, one hand on the door handle. His eyes dipped to her lips. She could have sworn he was going to kiss her again.

Instead he brushed his fingers along her cheek.

"No you're not a little girl."

He pulled his hand back as if her skin had burned it.

"You're a client."

He shut the door firmly in her face.
